Mateo At Stathi is the Founder and Director of Coaching at Alba Soccer Bronx. Founded in 2003, Alba has become one of the top soccer clubs in the Bronx New York. With extensive coaching experience (over 25 years) at all levels, Mateo began his coaching career at the Bronx House in 2000. Since 2003 he has served as Head coach and director of the development program at Alba Soccer Bronx.
Mateo At Stathi is a true Soccer educator, with a sincere and artistic passion for passing on his knowledge to the young people on and off the field. The mixture of his love of the game, with his unmatched work ethic, integrity, attention to detail, ability to organize, lead and educate, have led to the superb reputation of Alba Soccer Bronx. For his Hard work and dedication to his players he was awarded WYSL Coach of the Year for 2018.
Born and raised in Tirana, Albania, Mateo At Stathi became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2002. From 1978 to 1982, he attended the Loro Boriçi School of Sports Mastery, Albania’s only soccer academy at the time. In 1987 he graduated from Tirana University of Sports, specializing in soccer. During his playing career, Mateo was a member of 17 Nëntori (now KF Tirana) and FK Partizani. From 1988 to 1996, he worked as a physical education teacher in Tirana before moving to the United States in 1996. He holds an ENYSA National D License, Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma and other certificates.

Coaching Philosophy
Coach Ronald finds his motivation and passion by educating players about the sport, providing all the knowledge and resources to help young athletes reach their highest potential. His goal is to guide the players by showing them multiple options in their game and allowing them to make choices that would showcase success, having love for the game and displaying it on the field.
Coaching Experience
Since 2023 he is part of Alba Soccer Bronx. Coach Ron coached Alba Bobcats for the season 2023/2024. Presently he is coaching age groups from 8 to 15 years old. From the recreational programs to competitive youth clubs, coaching in different levels has helped him understand the demands of the modern game.
Competitive Background
He played competitive soccer from age 12 then played college level in Trinidad at age 18. Currently involved in scrimmage for the past 15yrs

He holds a United Soccer Coaches 9 v 9 Diploma, Safesport and other certificates.

Coaching Philosophy
Coach Jens’ coaching philosophy is to help build the character of the player first, through values of respect, trust, teamwork, and patience. With a goal to help guide players to enjoy the game they play at their highest level of performance and to maintain a well mind, body, and spirit on and off the field!
Competitive Background
Coach Jens grew up playing with Alba Soccer Bronx. He began playing soccer at the age of 5 and remained with Alba until he was 16.
Coaching Experience
For the past decade he has worked as a coach for multiple soccer programs and maintains his passion and focus on developing players of all ages. He has been coaching for Alba Soccer since 2015. He started at the recreation level and now he coaches both the recreation and travel level. As a physical education teacher for the NYC Department of education, he gained valuable insight into all aspects of fitness and player coordination and the game itself. He has become one of the top trainers of the club, gaining a lot of respect from players, parents and coaches.

Coaching Philosophy
To help my players reach their full potential in a fun yet competitive environment. Making sure players of any level or ability get to enjoy the game of soccer. I want them to come off the field having had a positive experience and learning something new while having fun.
Player History
He played organized soccer since age 4 and started to play competitive with Quetzalito’s Soccer Club at 8. By age 11, he became part of Alba Soccer Bronx, remaining there until he was 16. He played for the LaGuardia High School soccer team during high school, finishing as the top scorer for the team and helping them win the championship. He earned a scholarship before he went to St. John's University.
Coaching Experience
From the age of 15, he began assisting as a coach in the Alba Soccer Bronx Recreation Program, gaining early exposure to player development. At 18, he took on a larger role, coaching competitive travel teams in the WYSL. Over the years, He has been instrumental in shaping the recreation and development programs for players of all ages. Since 2016, he has been a dedicated member of Alba Soccer, supporting the club's growth and success.

Embraces teaching young athletes the skills and work ethic to excel as competitive soccer players. He enjoys turning kids into confident, skillful players and hopefully helping in their development and performance on the pitch.
